Sunderdhunga Valley (3206m and upward)

Sunderdhunga means the valley of beautiful stones. The Valley is situated to the west of Pindari valley. Maiktoli & Sukhram are two Glaciers, and the main peaks are Tharkot (6100m), Mrigthuni (6856m) Maiktoli (6804m) and Pawalidwar (6663m).

The route to Sunderdhunga is the same up to Khati as in the trek to Pindari and Kafni.

Itinerary (Ex. Delhi)

  • 1st Day : Delhi - Almora (night halt)
  • 2nd Day : Almora - Loharkhet (night halt)
  • 3rd Day : Loharkhet - Dhakuri (night halt) 13 km trek
  • 4th Day : Dhakuri - Jatoli (night halt) 14 km trek
  • 5th Day : Jatoli - Kathaliya (night halt) 13 km trek
  • 6th Day : Kathaliya-Sunderdhunga-Kathaliya (night halt) 14 km trek
  • 7th Day : Kathaliya -Jatoli (night halt) 13 km trek
  • 8th Day : Jatoli - Dhakuri (night halt) 14 km trek
  • 9th Day : Dhakuri - Loharkhet - Kausani (night halt) 13 km trek to loharkhet
  • 10th Day: Loharkhet - Kausani - Delhi
